Photographer working in Zionsville and Indianapolis, Indiana specializing in fashion and commercial photography.
I am most interested in collaborating with models, hairstylists, and make up artists to create images that are artistic but have a strong commercial advertising appeal. I would like to work on projects that include fashion, beauty, dramatic portraits, couture and avant garde work.
Calling Fashion Designers and Wardrobe Stylists!
I'm looking to collaborate with you. I've got models to shoot, but need interesting clothing. I'd really like to find some couture, pinup, or vintage clothing. Also 60's mod. You loan the wardrobe, get great pictures in return.
Calling Hair Stylists and MUA's!
I need stylists and MUAs who want to build portfolios to work TFCD. I'd like to work with several of you so I can find one on short notice.
Models who are interested in working with me TFCD:
I still occasionally do TFCD with models, so please contact me to be considered. But as I am now pretty busy, I have to be selective with whom I choose for models. I want to make sure the model is the right person for the project. Especially with new models that don't have an extensive portfolio, I will probably want to meet you and do a quick test shoot before we would do a full-blown shoot with a stylist and makeup artist. I can’t tell everything I need to know from a couple of snapshots. A photo shoot is a big investment of my time and energy both in planning and processing images, so I want to be confident that it will be worth my effort.
What I want to find out from meeting you is:
1) How you look in person from all angles.
2) Your personality. Are you laid back, outgoing, not afraid to be silly? Modeling is bit like acting, so can you create different expressions and portray characters?
3) How you move and pose. A model needs to have a certain instinct about how she looks in different positions and needs to have a library of looks and poses to draw from.
4) Your creativity and interest in fashion and modeling. I get better photos of people who are creative and actively participate in the shoot.
Location:
My home studio in Zionsville is large enough for portraits and seated or reclining poses but is not great for full length shots of tall people. My lighting kit is portable, so fashion work will probably be on location.
