It was probably the many hours I spent with my dad, an amateur photographer, in his dark room watching him magically turning plain white paper into wonderful pictures using a 'light machine' and some magic fluids in colored trays. There was some magic about this room behind the always closed door. I remember the dimmed red light, the film rolls, the developed negative films hanging on clothespins and the many wet photos posted on the tile walls until dry. And when you were very very quiet and hold your breath you could actually watch the white paper in the fluid trays slowly coming to life when turning into a wonderful black and white photo... a photo that captured           .... a moment in time.

ONLY VERY LIMITED TFx work
TFP Shoots based on availability and most of all my interest to shoot with a model. New models interested in conceptual work or assignments will usually start with a basic TFP shoot in my studio or on location.

Currently I have a number of models lined up most of them are scheduled already and I will continue to schedule over the next weeks. I do not want to start shooting models on the fly, and flooding the world with pictures just to see my watermark everywhere. I will always stay by my standards and style - whatever it is at a given day. And it is only fair to the model you work with to give her full attention before, during and after the shoot and don't have your mind already set and ready for the next sessions. There will still be TFx work but my focus will be on paid work. My rates are very reasonable and negotiable for basic shoots and editorial concepts (see http://www.a-moment-in-time.com) and my gas and electricity providers will be happy to hear that I soon will start paying their bills.

Note to Models and MUAs
I am very passionate about my work and I expect the same from everybody I work with. If I get the impression that you are not motivated enough (i.e. it takes you forever to respond to messages) - don't even bother to ask for shoots. Before I work on concepts with new models I will go thru a basic shoot, mostly to find out what concepts you would fit in, also to get used to working with each other. Less experienced models or models with no experience welcome. No second chance for flakes and no-shows - unless you have an excuse I didn't hear yet.



I do not pay Models for TFP shoots. This defies the whole purpose of TFP. And I do not accept escorts, unless they bring value to the shoot (such as your personal MUA we agreed on) or you are under 18 (in this case a legal guardian has to be present for the duration of the shoot). I also do not pay travel expenses for escorts, so don't even think about suggesting that again. If 1 hr travel to a location is too far for you or if you are not leaving your house without an escort, you may want to spend a minute thinking about how serious you take modelling.

I am not trading comments. I'm a photographer, not a 3 yr old who needs feedback every time he goes potty. I appreciate honest feedback though, just don't comment because you expect something in return. I do the same.
