I'm a figurative artist working in traditional media (primarily oils). My work thus far has consisted mostly of concentrated study of the human figure, but I'm moving into the direction of more complex imaginative picture making that continues to have the human figure primarily at its center. I'm a realist/representational artist, so I prefer to work from life because nothing is better than being able to observe the subject directly. However, I'm not entirely averse to utilizing photographs for reference when working from life isn't feasible.

I want to work with you if you:

• have a background in dance, acting or art
• can sit still for sessions lasting 3-6 hours (with breaks)
• are flexibly willing to sit draped, partially draped and/or nude
• have an interesting unique look
• have your own transportation

I pay my models a standard art modeling rate, but I'm willing to trade drawings or studies/sketches occasionally.

PLEASE NOTE:
I've worked with a few models that didn't take the job seriously, making it difficult for me to finish work I'd started. It's very disappointing to spend 10 hours on a piece and not be able to finish it because the model disrespectfully cancels at the last minute, or shows up late constantly, or worse...doesn't show up at all for scheduled sessions.
