Ugis Nastevics, Latvian photographer born on July 27th, 1987 in Riga, the Republic of Latvia. At high school age, began self-studying Japanese and established a film production company. Won the Japanese speech contest at the Embassy of Japan in Latvia on February 23, 2007 and obtained and started using first DSLR camera during the 18 days visit to Japan for the first time in July the same year. Started to do portrait photo shoots in September, 2010.
While being a citizen of Riga, I continue to produce audio-visual projects along with keeping Latvian-Japanese cultural exchange as a Japanese interpreter, tutor & guide.
Also engage in ethnic ornaments, graphic and web-design, like kanji, arabic calligraphy and retro stuff, play kokle, and use skype.
