Hello and thank you for visiting my port.
My name is Greg.
I am a Director of Photography, Photographer, Artist, and proprietor of Studio225BK, a photo studio, event space, and creative space I opened in May, 2012.
Part of my intention with building the studio was to create a place to bring industry professionals, up-and-comers, and creatives together.
I have been in the production business for 20 years, 15 of which, with MTV On Air Promos based here in NYC. I have worked as a Producer, Director, Creative Director, Cinematographer and Photographer.
I have had the good fortune to work in many places including Miami, LA, Vegas, Toronto, and Tokyo among others, as well as with many celebrities, musical artists, and some of the best creatives in the industry.
After MTV, and a needed hiatus from the production world, I came back in 2011 with the goal of focusing my career exclusively on Cinematography and Photography. One of my goals is shoot for the fashion industry as a Photographer/DP.
I currently shoot for Boss Models and am looking to expand to other agencies in the next year.
I am passionate and professional in what I do. I approach every project, whatever the budget may be, with equal focus to create an enjoyable, solution-based working environment and provide the highest quality product possible.
I shoot a lot of TF work, both to continue to build the portfolio and reel, and also to always be doing what it is I love to do.
I am always looking forward to meeting and working with new people and other creatives. I love collaboration when possible, but always have ideas, and can work spontaneously when necessary.
An important note: I am a commercial level re-toucher, but as I am in the early part of a career shift, a start-up business owner, and a freelancer, I do not have the time necessary time to provide re-touched images from TF shoots. Trust me, I wish I had the crew and/or the time, but at this juncture, it is just not the case. What I do offer in place, is access to as many of the RAW files from our shoot as you wish, and my permission to have them finished as you see fit. No watermark necessary, just a credit where appropriate. With my portfolio update later this year, all credits will be included with all images.
Please feel free to contact me about shooting, the studio, or to just talk creative ideas.
If you are ever in the neighborhood, please drop by the studio to say hello. The deck is wonderful and I always have coffee on. I am here most every day, including weekends.
My website is GB3Art.com – the site as well as my MM port were last updated in December. I will have a significant update posted later this year.
The studio website is Studio225BK.com
