A graduate of Rhode Island School of Design, Greg earned his BFA in film/animation. His cross-genre experimental work won multiple awards and garnered accolades in the independent experimental film world. It was this bold creative thinking which caught the attention of MTV On-Air Promos.
Starting in 1993, Greg worked his way up through MTV OAP until his departure in 2008. Prior to leaving, he spent 2 years in Toronto as Creative Consultant and OAP lead for the multi-platform launch and oversight of MTV Canada.
During his time with MTV, Greg had the opportunity to utilize his diverse skill set working as a director, producer, cinematographer, and creative lead. His work inter-departmentally and internationally, client-based and client facing, in production and creative direction has given Greg an in depth understanding of promotions and marketing from soup to nuts.
Also while at MTV, his training in film, video, and photography and his unique perspective proved to be valuable assets which allowed him to shoot for OAP and other long form specialty programming, such as Fashionably Loud.
He has had the privilege of working with top artists and learning from some of the best creatives and craftsmen in the industry.
After MTV, Greg took a needed hiatus from television and production to engage his other passion as a carpenter and furniture maker.
In 2010, Greg returned to production working for clients including History, Nikon, and Samsung among others. In the fall of 2012 he opened Studio225BK, a photo studio and creative space in Brooklyn.
Although his focus today is working as a Director of Photography and Photographer, he does offer creative development, directorial, and editorial services to select clients.
Greg approaches every project whether for pay or for trade with professionalism and focus.
