Crystal “Zerenyti” Abrams is a creative and detail oriented freelance makeup and hair artist specializing in theater, media and events (all ethnicities). Zerenyti's brushes have danced on the faces of clients from a rock band on MTV2 to the talented casts of off broadway plays to adorning a bride on her special day. Beautifying her clients has been a natural ability of hers since her early adolescent years. It started with doing hair and makeup for women in her native community of East Flatbush, in Brooklyn, NY. Her most profound and rewarding experience has been doing the makeup and hair while being a part of an R & B and pop music group for 11 years. During that time she rose to the challenge of molding her talents to accommodate the distinctive characters coming together under a unified image. Hair and makeup was needed to span a variety of complexions, facial structures, photo shoot themes, venue performances, group member changes and image adjustments. Excited by the challenge, she quickly matured into her role as a makeup and hair artist. Zerenyti became a licensed cosmetologist and certified makeup artist and grew exponentially in her ability to beautify her sisters in song as well as the rapidly generating clientele.
Zerenyti’s hair styling experience parallels her makeup repertoire bar none. She is highly skilled in the areas of wigs, weaves, temporary extensions, relaxers, natural hair, updos, and hair styling for all ethnicities. Her patience and ability to fully understand the needs of her clients help to transform and enhance the clients’ natural beauty.
