Ronald Joshua Mendez was born June 8th, 1988 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic , where he was raised by his grandparents, he is the son of Josefa Hernandez and Raymond Mendez. During his childhood he practiced singing in the local church youth choir in Santo Domingo, when he was seven years old; There his grandmother discovered his ability to perform, and profound interest in various arts.

By his 8th Birthday Ronald In company with his parents immigrated to the United States. To the culturally diverse city of Boston, where Ronald took advantage of the public school music and art programs and further developed a love for music and entertainment.

During his childhood Ronnie was also interested in baseball, basketball and modeling: He often kept his musical aspirations to himself.

"there was a lack of support from my parents when it came to pursuing the arts. I grew in a home that only promoted growth in academics. If I wanted to be a Dancer, then I was Gay. When I expressed interested in Hip-Hop, I was trying to be Black."
