About Me

Greetings to all whom visit this page either on purpose or by accident.

I have never considered myself to be a "photographer" in the traditional sense (and am most definitely a hobbyist in that respect). I engage in digital image acquisition for the purposes of digital manipulation in the post-production process. Unless the image is exceptional in its' raw form, I prefer the "staged/produced" look of a lightly to heavily altered artistic representation of the original image. I do so for my own self-interest and oddly "therapeutic" reasons, but have on occasion, been asked to do a shoot to help "broaden" the creative scope of a models' portfolio.

I am a step-father of 4 children and have many other "iron's-in-the-fire" creatively, so my time is extremely limited and must be scheduled well in advance of the proposed shooting date.

I should probably note that I'm the type of photographer that may shoot 200-300 shots in a session and usually only finds between 3 to 6 shots that make the final cut for post-editorial work. That's just how I roll I suppose. I always welcome the input of the model to request work on an image (or images) from the shoot that I didn't pick to work on. I'm not the only one at the shoot and always stress the collaborative/teamwork ethic while working with someone.

Additionally, some find it odd that a guy such as myself prefers NOT to shoot nudes. I personally find them vulgar in a sense. To me it leaves nothing to the imagination (a trait sorely lacking in today's society). If ever I have a model in front of my lens that is sans wardrobe (in whole or in part), it is for the purpose of creating a final image that will merely "hint" at a shape or curve by way of artistic covering, play of light upon the subject, or other post-production means of obscuring any overt bodily detail. Also, PLEASE don't be offended if don't notice or comment about your very fine figure but instead spend most (if not all) of my time looking you in the eye and studying your face. I'm VERY MUCH into eyes, cheekbones, mouths and jawlines. But that's just one of my little admiration quirks.

Aside from the artistic aspect of this hobby, I do this to get out of the house and perhaps make some new acquaintances or friends in the process. I'm an extremely open-minded and easy-going person. I avoid stress and drama like the plague and prefer to work with highly creative individuals who are similar to my previously mentioned sensibilities.

I feel I must advise any and all whom choose to work with me that my post-production/editorial process can be rather lengthy as some do not possess the patience to wait for any images I may produce for them. Being a step-father to 4 kids is a very time-consuming job and resides at the very top of my priority list. As such, I may get your pics back to you in a matter of weeks OR a matter of months. It all depends on family scheduling (thank you in advance for those of you who both understand and respect this life priority).

SO! If you see anything you like in my portfolio and wish to discuss the possibility of having me give you an "artistic workover", please drop me a line and I'll respond to every inquiry as time permits.

Blessings To You.
