My name is Ajah everyone calls me AJ. I am a 2008 graduate of Randolph-Clay High School and Darsey High School of Cuthbert, Georgia. I studied Early Childhood Education at South Georgia Technical College and became a teacher at First Steps Daycare. My interest in the modeling industry developed as a teenager. My peers and family encouraged me to pursue this journey telling me that I was a beautiful young lady, with body features for a modeling career. My modeling career began at the age of 19. In 2009 I signed a contract with the Elow Management Agency who is based out of Columbus and Atlanta, Georgia. As I progressed in my career and became noticed by other agencies, I built a high level of self-confidence, determination and persistence which is what you must have in this type of industry. After having my son at the age of 22, he has become my reason to continue push myself move forward in my career. Having a passion to do makeup, fashion designing, hair and nails, my goal for the next 5 years is to continue to learn and perfect my skills to be as successful as Noami Campbell, Coco Rocha, Karolina Kurkova, or Tyra Banks. I also have long term goals of owning my own business while progressing my son’s modeling career. Knowing that this industry can be extremely interesting with many challenges I keep this quote near me for motivation, “For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you plans to give you hope and a future,” Jeremiah 29:11.
