I believe myself to be a hardworking and passionate makeup artist and hair stylist. I have been in this industry for 5 years now, and love the fact each day of work is fresh, exciting and different. I am a qualified hairdresser, and have also a level 3 diploma in hair and media makeup which includes theatrical, special effects, fashion and photographic areas of study. I am beginning my degree in makeup up artistry and special effects in the upcoming months at Leicester and Coventry, so will be covering a large area to work within. I currently work in a salon with my brother-in-law, and have done since the age of 14. From the moment I became Saturday junior, I knew that I had to change my career path from medicine to hair and makeup. I try to do as much freelance work as possible with makeup, doing local photoshoots for magazines, weddings and parties etc..covering all ages and gender. I am so excited to begin my degree course and will be covering many units from photographic to special effects blood and gore. I am pleased to say I love every part in makeup, but do prefer fashion and photographic editorial work as this is my main career goal, but I am happy covering most areas within the field to expand my knowledge and experience, and add to my CV and portfolio.
This summer I am working alongside Charles Fox in Covent Garden, London for a week of work experience, this will be so rewarding.
I am also qualified in level 2 manicure, pedicure and nail art. I also have basic first aid training.
