I am a photographer who has been shooting for over 30 years. (if we count the 126 Instamatic, 45 years) In the past a good deal of my work has been architectural, landscape, and still life, leading to two published books, including Contemporary Architecture of Washington DC
, Wiley, 1996 and Washington: Portrait of a City
, Norfleet Press, 2001. Recent publications include MiamiBEACH 4 Portfolios
and Nudes, Women, figures...
For the past fifteen years I have increasingly devoted myself to photographing beautiful women--the earlier work seems to have clearly informed this latest work. My images can range from erotic to fine art. To see more of my work, look deeper here and at my other websites, including GEKO
I am always looking for new models and continue to work with previous ones. Studio work and outdoor work both appeal to me.
My style is fluid and organic, in that I believe preconceived ideas are fine, but don't survive much beyond first contact with the shutter button. Flexibility and spontaneity are as important as good planning. I would consider myself a lighting minimalist. I use artificial light, but very sparingly, I would prefer not to over-light or multi-light , but create an enveloping glow.
