From the runways of New York City, to Paris and Milan, Richard Vechi, who holds a Masters of Fine Arts degree in photography, a BFA degree, a Cosmetology License, and Teacher of Art Certification, has been an innovative leader, artist, and trainer in the field of beauty and makeup for over 25 years. Richard has worked and collaborated with top photographers around the world, creating runway looks on many Supermodels, for such notable clients as: Chanel, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Zang Toi, Anna Sui, and Yves Saint Laurent. His extensive training with the House of CHANEL has provided him with a level of expertise that is unparalleled and highly sought after within the world of beauty and fashion, as well as by his private clients. Richard’s innate and keen sense of beauty coupled with his incredible artistic talents, in color and art, allows him the gift of effectively understanding the individual needs of woman. Thus effectively consulting with all women of diverse backgrounds, ages, and lifestyles.

After establishing himself as a hairstylist in 1982, working with Glenby Solons and Jean Louis David, he specialized in makeup application. Drawing upon his art, painting, and teaching background, he quickly established himself as a successful freelance makeup artist. His skills as a painter and photographer, gave him the attention to detail that won him a reputation as a specialist in the precision demanded area of fashion and beauty editorial work. Richard traveled internationally teaching and training in a variety of venues, the basics of makeup to advanced theory and technique, to both clients and colleagues. Among his objectives is: “Helping women to achieve their own unique ‘Signature Style’, and at the same time providing them with the application techniques specific to their individual beauty concerns.”

Richard’s personalized approach, exceptional communication and advanced skills as an educator enable him to “Empower Women” so that they may be able to easily recreate their unique looks at home. His clients always leave his care looking and feeling more beautiful, confident and empowered, as do all his clients that have the wonderful opportunity to sit and consult with him.

Richard is well sought after by diverse clients, and continues to lend his talents to fashion shows, leading international magazines for beauty editorials, and cosmetic companies such as Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier, YSL, and Chanel, teaching and doing makeup for specialized consumer events. He further demonstrates his skills and artistry working in the area of TV, photography, and video having done news and lifestyle segments for: CMBC, Good Day New York, The Today Show, and Across The Hudson. His work has also graced the covers of and appeared in the publication numerous publications such as: Empowering Woman, Vanity Fair, Woman’s Day, W, Latino Magazine, Details, and Cosmopolitan.
