Hello!

My name is Zélie (pronounced ZAY-LEE). Thanks for taking an interest in my work, and if you want to see more of my work than what I have uploaded on here, check out my flickr account which is linked.

I am 25 and have been doing photography for nine years now, and I have found that my favorite kinds of photography to shoot are portraits and still documentary photography, as well as the occasional macro shot...or several. I have done headshots for people from professional actors to students who need a high school yearbook photo, boudoir shoots, promotional images for camgirls and other sex workers, macro shots of cosmetic products, and taken photos of my friends and other people who have given me permission to take their photo in everyday circumstances - I love capturing somewhat candid moments, but in a beautiful way. My friend making evening cocktails in her kitchen; a friend of a friend sat on their laptop, eating a lollipop; a little boy at a farmer's market eating a rainbow snowcone with a matching bow tie on; etc.

I shoot primarily digitally, but I do work with 35mm and instant film too. I often like to (usually lightly) edit and adjust my photos using photoshop after shooting them. I have a high resolution and high quality scanner that I use to document my physical copies of film photos & create a digital version.

I have done modeling myself, including nude modeling, so I do know what it's like to be on the other side of the camera. I even started out mostly taking self portraits using my camera timer!

PLEASE NOTE: I am currently on hiatus from most professional work due to being housebound from severe agoraphobia. This means that it is unlikely that I will be able to work with you until my mental health is better, which I am working on through therapy and other treatment techniques. I hope to be out and about again in the future and able to work with some of you!
