Born in Athens in 1978. During the period 1996-2002, he studied at FAMU - Faculty of Still Photography (Prague), at E.S.P. – School of Photography (Athens), and at the Plakas Arts Center – BTEC in Arts & Design (Athens). He has also attended seminars on the theory and action in visual arts, like “The Visual Society” (London) and “Vandalism in Art” (Amsterdam). He was an apprentice to Nikos Kessanlis (Head of the Fine Arts School in Greece) and worked in his studio in 2002-2003. From 2003 until today he works in the Thessaloniki International Film and Documentary Festival, while at the same time he does commercial photography and graphic design. During the last three years he has focused his attention on landscape photography and underwater photography. His work has been published in a variety of advertising material and catalogues.
He has participated in the following group exhibitions: Visual Arts in Greece, “I Create thus I exist” (Thessaloniki 2009, Centre of Contemporary Art), “Concepts and Light” (Athens 1999, Lambrakis Research Foundation – “Unofficial Language 7th Group”) “Storefronts of Athens” (Athens 1998, 5th International Month of Photography), “Naked Landscapes” (Athens 1998, Café Müller) and “Transparency & Non-Transparency” (performance) (Athens, 1977). In July 2011 he presented his first solo exhibition. He has excelled in many competitions such as the EPSON Int’l Pano Awards, the IPA (Int’l Photography Awards), the Int’l Aperture Awards and the Int’l
Loupe Awards.
He is an active member in many local exchange trading systems, as well as in NGOs which aim to help educate children from vulnerable backgrounds.
