My name is Mitchell and I am a experienced prosthetic makeup artist. I have been interested in makeup since my teens. I am self-taught through books, videos and experimentation. I have worked on projects as varied as haunted houses, independent films and photo-shoots. I use professional materials ranging from paint and powder to the latest silicone materials. Some makeups, depending on the difficulty, can take weeks to manufacture.
I'm looking for people needing such makeups for their photo-shoots or for people looking to add something different to their portfolios.
Some of these makeups are actor specific which means I usually start off by casting an model's face in alginate (the stuff the dentist uses to make impressions of your teeth). From this I produce a positive cast of the model's face from which I can sculpt whatever changes I want. These pieces are then cast in a variety of materials and applied to the model.
