I purchased my first film SLR at the age of 13 after finally convincing my parents this wasn’t a fleeting interest. When I got to college I put down my still camera and picked up a video camera. For the next 12 years I was a television news photographer and active member in the NPPA (National Press Photographers Association.) I now work for a video equipment manufacturer and sit at a desk all day and desperately need a creative outlet. So a few years ago I picked up a digital SLR and started shooting stills again. Most of my still work tends to look like my past video photojournalism, meaning I tend to use several pictures tell a story or event sequence. It’s a habit I am trying to break and so I am now turning my attention toward portrait work. I have shot a few images of family and friends but really need to work with more professional models in order to achieve the results I am looking for. Although a hobby and part-time creative outlet for now, my long-term goal is to learn/grow to the point where I can leave my good paying corporate job and make a modest living (and more satisfying career) creating captivating images for others to enjoy.

Primarily interested in TF work but willing to pay for time if the model is exceptional. My number one goal right now is to gain valuable experience and achieve higher quality images for my portfolio. I can be available evenings or weekends - I still have to schedule around my full-time day job.
