The shooting process is simple and very laid back. With usually one light, a reflector, and a black background, shoots can be done almost anywhere.
You never know what you are going to get with each person. The human figure comes in such a wide variety of shapes and sizes. These landscape images can find beauty in all body types; from tiny dancers to plus sized models. Tall short, black, white, each body tells its own story and it is always exciting to see what you end up with. With some people it is their necks, others their backs, or legs, or shoulders; you never know. Every shoot always ends up having what I call “wall shots” (those really cool shots that you feel OK about framing and hanging on the wall). Many models have done just that; being able to display a nude of yourself that is artistic but not very revealing.
This shoot is laid back, free flowing, and less structured then most model shoots. I do not follow any set poses and there are only two real rules; shots don't include heads, and the pubic area is not a main focus, although it may appear in the background of a shot.
Currently I do TFP/CD with most models. I will also trade a “general” or "fashion" shoot for work on my project(s). The model can get some general looks for their portfolio, and then move onto one or more of my projects. There are 3 books/projects I am working on at the moment. See my web page above for all the info.
The Body Landscapes project is mainly for female models. Male body hair just tends to kill the curves. My Bare Comparison project is for women and men and would be happy to set something up with that shoot if you are male model. See my website above to view samples.
Please contact me for more information. I have a listing I send out that should answer all of your questions.
You may also hire me for a shoot. I will shoot wherever and whatever you want.
Thanks for looking.
