You may call me Sonya, I'm generally copacetic and good humored - I'm always laughing. I've always loved to learn, and I'm told I learn quickly. I own my niche. I'm marketable, because more women identify with a voluptuous woman like me, and therefore will be more likely to be interested in whatever it is I'm promoting. I'm a woman with beautiful, and most importantly I'm proportionate with an hourglass figure. The average woman in the US is 5'4" and 160lbs. Not only is an image of me more likely to sell "it," I can do it better. Why am I so convinced? I have the personality, versatility, creativity, positivity, and sense of adventure to pull off anything.
To quote a man of wisdom:
"Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude."
- Thomas Jefferson
This may sound like a cover letter, and in truth, it is: modeling is a business. Just as an employee must prove to his/her potential employer that they are worth hiring, I must prove the same to you. My work can not always speak for itself; there are plenty of beautiful women in our world. But can they act? Can they sing? Can they smile and mean it? Are they positive, integrous, intelligent, amusing, creative and excited to do what they do? The numbers go down from there... I CAN, and I WILL be the best that I can be. I devote myself to each project with all that I am. I always deliver, feel free to check any reference you like, I will be checking yours, and after all, it's always worth it to do your research. I want to devote myself to things that I can be proud of, that I can use to benefit my career, if that's what you're looking for, I'm at your service.
Please contact me through a private message (I'll be more inclined to answer you that way) with whatever project you'd like to accomplish, I may be inclined to ask for compensation, depending on what the project is, i.e.; eroticism, nudes, implied, lingerie, etc. whether it be cash
clothes (a model can never have a big enough wardrobe), shoes, we women love shoes
or perhaps I'll ask for shots that I want to do, in locations I want do them in, in exchange for how you need me to execute your vision. I will (almost) always do whatever it is you need for free in exchange for tear sheets, media exposure is often priceless.
I enjoy meditation, reading, writing, playing the piano, and singing. I can hit into the range of a first/second soprano with a decent amount of warming-up, and I can sing you some jazz like you've never heard a white girl do. I love music, I don't know what I'd do without it, and Iâll listen to pretty much anything. Music is the fastest way to get me going on a shoot, I don't necessarily have to pick it, and Iâd just like it to be there
I like to see different ways the body can be portrayed, and how others choose to mold it. I appreciate beauty quite a bit, and like to think of the human form as having the versatility of clay - I like to see how other people play with it.
I have been published a few times in local magazines, and a specialty alternative magazine "Gothic Beauty", I've walked a few runways for local boutiques, done several hair shows for local salons, and competed with Aveda many times. I have performed in many musicals, and sang with a few bands in small concerts. I like the spotlight and don't struggle with stage fright.
Some of my favorite compliments:
Dan Tibbets, of Photo Highlights, who did my very first shoot, said I was "The fastest learner I've ever shot, and the only model I've ever seen be so comfortable so quickly." MM#43703
Bob of RLP Photography "You are a natural in front of the camera. To all my fellow photographers out there....start lining up to shoot this girl!" MM#1114307
Bill Zuback "Sonya, Thank you for the fun shoot. Great images and conversation. You nailed it." "You are an AMAZING artist. The word model doesn't do you justice." MM#870994
T.H. Taylor Loved my lips and that I take direction well and don't whine.
Also, I will only tolerate relationships between photographer and model to be purely professional and respectful; I'm NOT looking for a date. Follow the golden rule
I love whimsy with a punch, so I thought it relevant to share one of my favorite quotes from one of my favorite books: Alice In Wonderland.
"Why, sometimes, I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast."
I do have a few piercings, and I also have some ink, ask me for photos, and I will provide them as a courtesy to you so you know what you'd be working with.
