My name is Bryan Crowson. I love to draw portraits, often with a geeky, nerdy or humorous twist. Most of my work is portrait commissions and prints of my original art that I sell at sci-fi conventions and comic shop events. I particularly enjoy creating cosplay portraits. I have also illustrated a children's book called Petunia Luckens and the Perfectly Pleasant Day, available on Amazon.

I have been happily married for 24 years, and we have a grown son in college. Art is my second career. I worked 27 years as a newspaper journalist until I was laid off in 2012. I had almost taken the art path in college, so I decided to rebuild myself as an artist. I find great joy and fulfillment in making people happy with my work, especially with portraits. Art allows me to express my ideas about what is good and decent and important in life, and I want to use my work to make the world a more beautiful place.

Sometimes my art print concepts involve nude figures, for which I need reference, and that's why I am interested in Model Mayhem. My figure art tends to be a pin-up style with a sci-fi flavor.
