Illuminated Imagery is a commercial photographic business specializing in using advanced lighting techniques, especially outdoors and on location. Our photographer, Griffin Traylor is the talent of Illuminated Imagery. Most of Griffin's on-hand photography knowledge originated from a three year mentorship with the family who founded and ran Alfa-Color Labs, a well-known LA portrait studio and film processing business that was open for nearly 100 years. Griffin was always heavily critiqued by his mentors, which enabled him to develop a certain standard of quality and discipline over the years. Griffin applied their lighting techniques and tips outdoors in order to create his own unique style of photography. Beyond that, Griffin possesses real world problem solving and survival skills including weather pattern recognition which allows him to take traditional studio practices outdoors and into the wilderness. Griffins technical understanding of cameras and light allows him to quickly calculate any adjustments that are needed to develop the final desired product. Over the last couple of years, Griffin has matured his style and proved himself competent in dealing with time-sensitive and high stress situations when needed.
