I am Charlie V., the owner and main photographer of A.Raica Photography. A former Marine turned photographer, I came to Tampa in mid 2014 after having lived in the beautiful Caribbean island of Puerto Rico, where I obtained my B.A. in Communications with a core concentration in Photography.

Currently I am a Professional Wedding Photographer, working for Awey Photography. You can view some of my work at aweyphotography.com. However, I am working on establishing my own Beauty and Glamour Photography business since that it is where my main passion lies.

My style is one to always show the inner or outer strength of my subjects, not just their beauty. It is not only a passion; it is a core mission. The reason being is because I grew up with great female role models in my family that always advised me that no matter what I do, I should always find a way to use it to lift people up. I accomplish that with my photography. In each one of my photographs you can see my subject's strengths. And that's what I will do for you.

Having said that, remember I said I was in the Marines. Well, as life would have it, my attention to detail has never escaped me; and as such I take great strides in improving and perfecting my craft. Everything from the location, to the clothes, to the hair and makeup, and to the pose is carefully thought out beforehand. Many times I use sketches and storyboards, as well as consult my team to plan out the shoots. Having a great team is very important and one that I make sure I assemble right to get the job done.

Now, if a more natural and casual approach is your cup of tea, then great! In my humble beginnings as a photographer, I started out with that style and continue to use it. People would be surprised but many times, those unexpected photos turn out to be the best. In my beauty, glamour and engagement galleries, you will see many spontaneous moments.
