Omar has been a freelance photographer of many different areas: commercial, beauty, documentaries, fashion, still photography for film and tv; in Mexico, Spain, The United States and Canada since 1993. He has been giving workshops, training courses on professional photography, cinema and digital imagery since 1996. He was in charge of the Photography Workshop at the Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey (ITESM) campus Leon (1997 - 1998). He has directed photography (director of photography), operated cameras and illumination in music videos, corporate videos, documentaries and televisions spots; at the same time also directing still digital photography production, image consultancy, multimedia presentations, web page design and building, technical consultancy in Mac/Apple equipment. In March of 2000, he participated his first feature film as production manager, working with Luis Felipe Tovar, Damían Delgado and others. He was also the visual creativity director of the agency Publyco (2000-2001). He acted as an associate producer of the following programs: Sol o DIversión and Consejos para el Alma. He was the director of Special Projects at TV Azteca and post producer in Sexos en Guerra of the same TV network. He has collaborated in Signos TV creating content for Televisa and with Kratos in the creation of content for Telemundo Miami.

En 2003, he participated with LoneWolf productions in San Antonio, Tx and in Miami Fl.; in television production, DVD authorship and Mac systems consultancy. Since 2004, he was involved in the creating of content for television and multimedia for Argentina, Mexico, Peru and other countries; in a strategic alliance with imaXinería/ERRE Television. Starting five years ago, he has been in charge of the annual campaign "Logros" of CONACYT (in the areas of creativity, direction and post production all in High Definition). The Canadian government certifies him as a Canada Specialist.

He was the producer / director of TV and cinema commercials (spot) for the Municipality of Aguascalientes, said productions having since won international recognition and awards. He has participated in the Fundación Teleton advertisement campaign with well known productions. He is the director of Like TV (producer of OnDemand content and entertainment). Starting in 2012, he has specialized in stereoscopic 3D.
