My name is Abi Tate and I am a Photographer and Retoucher. Originally from Cornwall, I moved up to Derby to study Commercial Photography. This course enabled me to visit many aspects of photography and using a variety of different cameras. Although I loved my course, I found that throughout the four years I spent at Derby University, I felt myself moving more towards the Retouching side of photography. I spent the last two years of my course trying to perfect my skills on Photoshop and learning new techniques through books and online tutorials.
Graduating from University with 2:1, I am now looking at starting a career in Retouching. Since graduating in Jan 2016, I have been working on building a professional Portfolio and Website. I have joined model mayhem for many reasons; to check out the standard of work from my competition, to earn contacts, and to work on images that I would not have had the privilege to take myself. I am looking at getting my name out there, I want to earn clients and be able to build relationships and work with fellow Photographers and Retouchers.
Currently all my work has not only been Retouched by myself but also Photographed by myself also giving me sole copyright to them, I wish to branch out, leve my photography days a hobby and start a career in Retouching.
