ABOUT ERICA JEMISON

Erica Jemison was born and raised in the Long Beach, CA area. As a product of her environment, Erica is a shining example of how childhood talent and early identification of one's gifts can propel you into a lifelong career. Erica has blossomed into an ambitious and determined artist which identified with her gift at an early age. Growing up not too far from Hollywood, Erica knew that her gifts would take her as far as the STARS. Her gifts, talents and personality have earned her a place in the heads and hearts of most of the people she has encountered over the years.

Erica Jemison firmly believes EDUCATION is the key to success in this industry. Once you have a deep understanding of the fabric you work with, your creative expression becomes limitless. Erica is special to this industry in that she understands that this business is a constantly evolving entity and in order to stay relevant an individual must keep their momentum going. The way to stay on the move is by educating oneself as well as their employees and customers. Keeping on the cutting edge of Hair Design, Erica very much enjoys a multifaceted clientele and loves pushing the boundaries of hair artistry. She believes having mentors in your career is crucial to remaining motivated and focused on your goals and that is the key to success. Erica works closely with her mentors every chance she gets. Her passion and love for the hair industry allows her to captivate an audience with not only her talents, but with her "down to earth" attitude. Erica uses her gifts as a stylist to enhance the lives and experiences of the people she meets and works with. Her interpersonal skills and talents have allowed her to be successful at her full service image consultant salon as well as given her opportunities to work with world renowned companies such as Joico, with whom she collaborated with for 11 years.

In addition to Erica's commitment to education is the core of her existence, INTEGRITY. Character cannot be faked or purchased; one must have goodness that is innate in a person's spirit and at the core of whom that person is. Being a good person is more important than looking good. Beauty on the outside should reflect the beauty on the inside. Erica serves to assist each client as they strive for both inner and outer beauty.

Erica serves her COMMUNITY. The job of an image consultant and stylist is not just that of an exterior artist but extends to uplifting clients mentally and spiritually while they sit in your chair. Erica realized early in her career that she has a responsibility to create an environment that will take her clients higher and give them motivation and inspiration for their life journey. Her favorite saying is "you don't have to take big steps but you do have to take a step". Erica's daily mantra is to continue educating herself and staying motivated. With 16 years of experience behind the “Chair" and 13 years of professional education, this elevated level of service sometimes brings exhaustion into play, but she combats that with her love and passion for the industry and a desire to be of service to her client community.
