About Me

Mateo d'Amato was born in Providence, R.I. His mother is from Argentina and his father is from New York City. He began modeling after starring in his first play in Junior High School. Mateo left high school at 17 to study acting at Portland State University where he appeared in Hamlet and a local production of Big Love. At 18, Mateo moved to NYC to study acting and creative writing at The New School University. During his sophomore year he was cast in acclaimed playwright, Eduardo Machado's, Mariquitas at Theatre for The New City. He left the New School after his Junior Year to pursue acting full time and has since starred in two Indie Films and several Off and Off-Off Broadway Plays. Mateo now models and acts full time in NYC.
