I am an artist in the twin cities. I hold an MFA in visual arts. Occasionally I like to work with models for figure drawings. I like to work in markers and in inks. I started out working with pencil and charcoal but found many of the drawing just felt plain. There are so many figure studies done in charcoal that there just didn't seem like much of a point. Ink and markets bring an energy lacking in a lot of work. I have lofty goals of working as an illustrator, and I find working with models helps me understand the human form, along with mastering a quick technique needed to work in that industry.
