I have been a businessman traveling around Asia for years. I just started getting into photography for my personal artistic enjoyment about 2 years ago. Traveling around Asia as given me many opportunities for interesting subject matter in my photographs. I recently have gained interest in portrait and glamour photography but it is difficult to find contacts in new locations especially in Asia. I have started group workshops that come up from time to time to learn more skills and to have access to professional models. This is how I produced the sample photos posted here. The teacher, models and other students proved to be a valuable resource in learning photography and new skills to improve my work.

The hardest part of learning and improving my skills is access to professionals. The workshops are great when they come up but access is the one of the key parts of portrait and glamour photography. It is somewhat easy to find models, but quite difficult in finding access to professionals especially in a part of the world where language is also an obstacle. I feel that Model Mayhem can be a very useful too to allow me to gain access to professionals who can help me obtain the photo quality that I am after and help me learn the skills to develop my work.
