Nikolai Cuthill got her first camera for Christmas at nine-years-old. She started out with landscape and still life photography, but it was while travelling that Nikolai found a new love in capturing people.

While volunteering overseas, she began to take photos and write to forever freeze a moment in time. She wanted to be able to look back and remember some of the most beautiful, and some of the most difficult, moments in her life.

After returning to Canada, Nikolai decided to pursue a diploma in photojournalism in Calgary. This experience only strengthened her passion for portrait photography and equipped her with technical skills and an eye to capture moments and between moments.

Going forward, she hopes to never stop travelling and meeting cool new people around the world to capture with her camera.

Nikolai is currently in Canada's Rocky Mountains, chasing the perfect picture and perfect tacos.
