I am an artist (photography). I am very experienced at all types of photography both studio and location.
My long experience in photographic art and design theory, and associated practices, has led me to a point where I am able to draw on this experience to freely explore a broad range of themes, issues and processes to create new personal imagery.

My photographic practice can be divided up into three main linked themes.

Unlikely partnerships: As a means of generating and enriching the creative mind, my
practical and novel approach explores how semiotic meaning associated with common
objects can be subverted into new unexpected meanings. This is generated by forcing a
new alliance or partnership between two or more objects from differing or unlikely ‘families’
through a randomised selection process. It is truly a gymnasium of the mind.

Surrealism and the Female Shoe: The female shoe as both an object of desire but for me
a means to search out the inner emotional feelings of the wearer. By using the semiotic
concept of the performative index, and combinations of multiple signifiers related to lifestyles
leads to the creation a series of Surrealist footwear concepts. The shoe appears to
be pointing towards something, but to exactly what?

Erotica: In a culture now rampant with commodity fetishism, there is an increasing demand, constructed between advertiser and consumer, for new brands and products to be made visually or erotically charged to gain market prominence. These false narratives employ the use of the semiotic concept of intertextuality to trigger erotic thoughts in the minds of the consumer. In my work I subvert these erotic contrivances, but on old, used and sometimes mundane objects, thus both making unexpected and ambiguous but erotically charged imagery. I require nude models and hope this site can provide some experienced talent.
I have my own studio and lighting equipment.
