I am infatuated with healthy skin. My camera picks up so much detail. That can be a double edged sword at times. Although some critics of the MM site have become accustom to photoshopped and need I say it... OVERLY photoshopped images. I feel that getting it right in the camera first is vital to success.
Photoshop is tool, not a crutch. Being that I am a Digital Mechanic I use this tool sparingly in order to tweak my images, not make them the sole governing body of my photos. If its photoshopped images you're looking for then you have come to the wrong photographer.
My photos are NOT for everybody. If you like cookie cutter images that fit a standard model then I can give you a list of other photographers to go with, instead of me. If you like edgy, sexy, unique images and themes then I'd be more than happy to set up a shoot with you. Not everyone likes my photos and I'm perfectly ok with this. If it was social approval that I was searching for then I would NOT have been a photographer.
Photography is an opinion. You are entitled to yours as long as I am entitled to mine. I live by this statement because it speaks volumes to the vibe that I take into a shoot with me. My goals when I shoot anything or anyone are as follows.
1. Comfort. I want models, creative directors, make up artists, etc., to be as comfortable as possible. A relaxed atmosphere is a direct correlation to great images. I do not allow stress, negativity, or anxiety at my shoots. Please leave these items elsewhere.
2. Style and theme. Before we shoot I want to know what the overall goal of each look is. Life without direction doesn't take you anywhere. Same with photography shoots.
3. Cream of the crop. I may take 1000, pics on a shoot but I'm only interested in the BEST ones. Sometimes its only 10 images. Sometimes only 3. The goal is the best, not the most.
4. There are other goals also. If you're interested to know more please feel free to ask.
If you'd like to work with me... please respect that my time is valuable and worth something, as I will do the same for you.
Please show up on time with all gear needed for the shoot. The day of the shoot is not the day to round up your flare. Call if you're going to be late as I will gladly do the same for you. Its only fair.
Items that you are more than welcome to bring along..... Your favorite music, food and drink, good vibes, a baseball glove to play catch after the shoot (optional).
If you are going to bring a person to the shoot, please let me know in advance. I only allow one person to accompany models on a shoot per request ONLY, but if they interfere or distract a model I will ask them to leave or come back after the shoot.
Items that you WON'T see in my photos or on my shoots...
Guitars
Caution Tape
Belts across the breasts
