In her early 20's in 2001 Taylor began teaching her self to sew while going college. She began making custom garments for numerous people she knew. Although her degree was in the field of culinary arts, Taylor was young and like so many others at that age she was trying to find her nitch. She found she had a natural talent for pattern drafting and garment fitting. After graduating Taylor worked in a popular Denver Sushi restaurant and received training as a professional sushi chef. All the while still making garments on the side. In fact she supplied a few of the restaurants she worked at with customized shirts for the men and women. Having grown up with a mother who owned an embroidery business Taylor was familiar with the apparel decoration process. She had become quite skilled in the art of bra and corset making and her side business was growing as her skills grew. She wrote an article for sew news magazine in 2003 about how to clone your favorite fitting bra.
After 5 years in the sushi chef business Taylor made the decision to pursue where her true passion continued to draw her back time and time again. Taylor's 1st production shop was in Arlington on Division street in 2010 where she developed and produced her first line of basic corsets and a Luxury Line with a Texas Western twist. These corsets are made to be worn as outer wear not undergarments.
