For as long as I can remember, the amount of melanin in my body has always been a topic of conversation. It seemed as if it wasn't the center of a joke it was just the color of the weird kid in class. Since my third-grade year, random strangers have been coming up to me asking if I modeled. When I responded no, they would say "Well you should because your facial structure is amazing!". Hearing this over and over again didn't seem to have an effect on me because I never even tried to dive into the world of modeling. It was not until I saw Winnie Harlow in an ad for Diesel and realized that difference and uniqueness could and should be glorified. With this fresh in my mind, I reached out to some of my friends that model and asked what I could do to get involved in the field. They all quickly responded back "model mayhem!". The rest is history.
