I bought my first camera after I became very involved with mountain biking. For mountain biking, I traveled all across New England to bike at new and interesting places. All of these new amazing locations made me wish I had a way to share the beautiful sights with others. So I went to Costco and bought one of their entry level DSLRs and a hiking bag and carried them with me on every trip. My skills quickly out grew that camera, so I returned it and I bought a bigger and better camera with bigger and better lenses. My photography focused mainly on landscapes, mountain bike racing, and all of the adventures that came along with it. After seeing my work, many of my friends and family members started asking me if I would take pictures for them or of them. I enthusiastically said, 'Of Course!' I took this opportunity to create a website and I eventually started booking senior photos for college. It was a lot of fun, but I really liked the action sport and nature genres of photography a little more. I eventually scored a job taking photos for Red Bull Global Rally Cross and had a great time on my assignment. Unfortunately in the off-season there are no races and so I needed something else to shoot. So I decided to combine photographing people and nature. I have been taking people hiking to cool places and having photo shoots. So far, I am really impressed with how the photos have been coming out. It has been an awesome experience so far and I am very excited to have stumbled upon Model Mayhem to hopefully meet new and creative people to work with on my photography goals!
