I started out working with low income communities and local non profits doing pro bono work- headshots, back to school pics, local news coverage, etcetera, after winning a grant for my cellphone work and getting a recommendation from my state representative for my protest coverage in Boston.

I'm independently trained and have read extensively on the technical aspects of portrait photography and posing. I prefer a chiaroscuro, natural lighting technique due to my previous work with non-model subjects and putting them at ease, but would be very open to exploring artificial lighting further with models who have experience acting natural in a staged setting, personal vision, and can work with me by articulating their desired end results. I prefer a poised, technical, and neutrally expressive style.

Currently, I would like to put community projects aside and focus on developing a cohesive artistic vision of my own. I'm aiming to work with male models interested in portraits, headshots, fashion, fitness, and lifestyle. I would also like to push my creative vision and work on shoots including gobos, foreground/background settings/themes, props, modifiers, and conceptual metaphor/imagery on the side. Mostly, though, I'd just like to do GQ, men's warehouse, watch advertisement type stuff.

I don't have any current work in the genre that I would like to pivot into due to just starting this account, but hope some of my old portfolio will suffice for now. Looking forward to working with people in the area on a t4p basis for now, and any reference photos of similar shoot ideas you have would be a great place to start.
