About Me

Famous gallery artist seeks nude female models of for a series of canvas paintings called "Crimson." I show in 3 galleries, corporate buildings and public outdoor art shows.

My goal is 6-12 paintings of nude models per year. I am a professional artist oil painter, and although there are millions of nude model photos online, nothing beats seeing the model in person. I am looking to capture the vibrancy, radiance and allure that a beautiful model projects through her inner beauty. I have a 2000 square foot private studio warehouse, professional lighting and a heater when needed. I serve delicious snacks and will do whatever to make you comfortable. Because that is what I see, I paint what is there. You need to be able to hold a pose until a break. I will take a few reference photos, as these paintings take longer for me to complete. My mission is to paint with a thick luscious oil paint that brings the model alive, make viewers feel as if they want to touch the painting to see if it is real. My paintings last 400 years. I paint in oil on canvas over birch panels.

My main gig is painting cityscapes of San Francisco. However, a painter who could paint a nude is it. Painting nudes helps me be a better artist painter. When I have assembled enough paintings I will have a show at one of my galleries, you are invited.

My Bio:
Russ Wagner has been painting for over 20 years and maintains a
studio north of San Francisco in Pt. Richmond. His work is inspired by years of study of the Masters including van Gogh and Hopper.
Known for his bright, fauve-influenced use of color, Wagner paints the
"unseen" colors he perceives in both interior an outdoor scenes. His
free brushstroke evokes a sense of motion that adds to the lively palette
he creates.
Wagner's oil paintings, inspired by years of study of the Masters
including Hopper and van Gogh, capture the essence of San
Francisco's vitality. His current subjects are primarily cityscapes and
the historic cable cars.
"I am inspired by movement, strong color and candid interactions
between people and their environment. Capturing that one small
moment in time that holds so much emotion," says Wagner.
Wagner's sense of craft can be seen in his exacting choice of canvas
and high-quality paints. His work is divided between commissioned
pieces, for which he works with his clients to develop the subject and
theme, as well as a variety of outdoor and candid scenes.
Wagner received a bachelor's degree in finance from Arizona State
University in 1987. After a successful career in financial sales,
Wagner chose to devote his time to his true passion of painting life in
motion.
