Kriz Barvsson — born in 1985 in Poland, 4 years before the fall of the Berlin Wall.

He grew up in a country of contrasts: his hometown of Krakow, once the capital of The Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth (the most multi-ethnic country of the 16th–17th century Europe), then under the Soviet-backed communist government in the 1980s it was the centre of metallurgical industry. This misalliance meant that an old castle, Habsburg forts, impressive cathedrals and a huge steelworks are now standing next to each other. All of this has influenced his passions - Kriz loves to photograph contrasts, vanity and authentic people in real life. It's hard to force him to enter a photographic studio or retouch photos, he prefers situational photography.

For years he has been associated with the Polish film and television industry (he works for Discovery Channel, among others), he is a fan of Formula 1. He likes reportage, portraits and intimate photography — the last one in a next door girl style. He used to write a lot, but he noticed that with one good photo you can tell the whole story.
