Classical drawing and painting technique paired with the embracing of current trends in contemporary art has enabled Shane McDonald to maintain respect as a fine artist and instructor. He has won numerous awards for his works at juried competitions. His paintings are in the permanent collection at the Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art, Kennesaw State University, and the Zuckerman Museum of Art.

ABOUT THE STUDIO
Shane McDonald Studios was created in 1998 to provide a working space for Shane McDonald to work on his fine art, portraiture, murals and art instruction business. The studio is primarily a working space, but there are plenty of paintings and sculptures on display as well as in working progress.

WHY MODEL MAYHEM?
Shane seeks to hire fit models for his figurative and portrait paintings which deal with man's relationship with work and machinery. Some works have a "steam-punk" style. He works from life as well as photographs. He is particularly in need of fit and muscular male models interested in posing for paintings and fine art drawings. Nudity is not required, but welcomed.

Shane also hires models on a regular weekly basis on Sundays to pose for his open studio figure drawing classes/groups. He has been hosting life drawing groups for more than 20 years. Shane expects to pay $20 per hour with a minimum of 2 hours for models with experience.
