I am an African-American, Ivy-league trained photographer, cinematographer, filmmaker, and editor. I have the luck to live through art (photography, film and advertising have been my life). Knowledge of these areas, and the arrival of new digital image processing, have been of great use to allow me to generate the images I have in my mind, so rather than being strictly a photographer, I consider myself an "image maker." Boring images never excite me. I also studied semiotics . I'm a chill kinda dude. I really like in-shape models and actors in my projects. I like working with models who are trying to transition into the film world. Always seeking contact with models to collaborate with in producing edgy, dramatic photographic projects utilizing, fashion and unusual urban setings with the body as the primary medium of photographic expression.
My award-winning media projects have been "Official Selections" at the Cannes Film Festival, NY Film Festival, Garden State Film Festival, Florida Film Festival, Berlin Film Festival and others.

I can't understand why people are frightened of new ideas. I'm frightened of the old ones. In my photographs, one may witness the strong structure and power of the human body with the use of real intellectual passion and development but without the use of excessive, in-your-face sexuality." - RJ Harper (PhotoArtist)
