I am an African-American, Ivy-league trained photographer, cinematographer, filmmaker, editor and former model with a big agency in NYC. Boring images never excite me. I also studied semiotics at the Rhode Island School of Design as well as graduated from the Digital Film Academy (NYC). I produce film and media for record label artists and like working with new talent - supermodel divas fall way way back! I'm a chill kinda dude. I really like in-shape models and actors in my projects but have a tendency to look for beauty and sadness in all types of people. I like working with models who are trying to transition into the film world. Always seeking contact with models to collaborate with in producing edgy, dramatic photographic projects utilizing, fashion and unusual urban setings with the body as the primary medium of photographic expression. I have my own high-definition film (Panasonic HVX200) and photography equipment (10 mega-pixel Cannon camera).
My award-winning media projects have been "official selections" at the Cannes Film Festival, NY Film Festival, Garden State Film Festival, Florida Film Festival, Berlin Film Festival and others.

I can't understand why people are frightened of new ideas. I'm frightened of the old ones. In my photographs, one may witness the strong structure and power of the human body with the use of real intellectual passion and development but without the use of excessive, in-your-face sexuality." - RJ Harper (PhotoArtist)
