Michelle D Ivy is a Chicago born actress from the West Side of Chicago. Michelle's love for the arts began at the age of seven as a self-taught pianist. She learned and performed dance at the local park district until she graduated from high school. Michelle founded the dance troupe "Rhythm Nation Dance Troupe" at NIU to help enhance creativity through dance. More recently, Michelle's acting career has blossomed. Michelle's acting resume has a variety of theater performances including "Consequences", “I Need A Man”, "The Vagina Monologs", "If The Preacher Ain't Right" and the one she's most proud of, "Shante's Reality Check," (Role of Shante) which is her own stage play which she produced in 2002. Michelle has also performed in many films including recently completing the feature film “Angel Unaware: The Tara Cole Story” in a lead role. Michelle has even performed in radio in the radio sitcom "Left Behind". The most recent addition to Michelle's resume is being one of the models in the fashion segment of a popular NBC show which aired live on 10/30/2007. Michelle gives all credit to God first and foremost, and then to her mom Jessie Ivy and her late father Joe Ivy (may he rest in peace).
