In the beginning.............

I am originally from Queensland, Australia and was born and raised in a small town called Gympie.

Along with softball and track/athletics in high school, I competed in many events including cross country and highjump.  Competitive softball and netball soon became my focus and I was regularly selected for representative sport.

After graduation, I started working with my dad in his menswear shop and also did promotional work for the local council, waitressed, and competed in surf lifesaving meets!

In 1998 I started lifting weights with a PT named Greg to improve my strength primarily for my representative softball.  Greg was instrumental in shaping my mind, body and soul and even though I did not compete, the side-effect of his positive attitude and fitness training prepared me for what was to come.  Without such a positive introduction to fitness and the benefits of weight training, I would not have made the transition to competition so easily.  Unfortunately, I stopped training after a short time to further my studies in law and eventually moved to Melbourne. 

Up until April of 2003, I was relatively lazy and a comfortable size 14 and was definitely not motivated AT ALL to keep fit.  That is until I went out for dinner with some friends next door who mentioned a personal trainer who could "transform" any physique in a very short space of time....So I went along not knowing what to expect and started training two weeks later. 

I have had a wonderful time so far traveling across the country and internationally, and have met some really incredible people everywhere. I feel very blessed and fortunate to be able to do what I enjoy: staying fit, encouraging others, and sharing what I have learned with others.
