-Biography-
Vibrant, insane, captivating are just a few words to describe Actor/TV Host/Commercial Print Model/Celebreality Star Jason “Heat” Rosell, whose exploding personality has made him a fixture on four of VH1’s top rated reality shows.
Jason was born in Queens, New York and comes from a Spaniard and Puerto Rican heritage. Being fluent in both languages (first language being Spanish,) in a addition to his bicoastal inhabitance, it has given him a unique look which allowed him the versatility to play a wide range of ethnicities and film/TV roles. Jason started acting at the age of nineteen in which he later then became a part of the Screen Actors Guild.
Jason’s fans first became acquainted with him when he wooed the crowds on the highest rated reality show in VH1 history “I Love New York,” with four million viewers weekly. Jason was dubbed “Heat” by Tiffany “New York” Pollard, due to his charm and distinctive good looks, which ultimately caused him to stand out from the other 20 contestants as “the hottest guy in the place”. Following “I Love New York,” Jason returned with fellow contestant “12 Pack” to host the After-Show for the series’ second season. He then followed that with two more VH1 shows “I Love Money 1 & 2,” where he traveled to Mexico to face off with cast members from VH1’s hit shows ‘I Love New York,” “Rock of Love” and “Flavor of Love” in mental and physical challenges for the chance to win $250,000 of cold, hard cash. Besides breaking out in reality TV, Jason’s first passion is acting, commercial modeling and TV hosting. He has guest-starred and been featured on numerous television shows like HBO’s “Entourage,” the WB’s “Gilmore Girls” and Discovery Channel’s “Dr. G: Medical Examiner.” His motion picture credits include roles in independent features such as 7-10 Split, and Chill to name a few. Fans can also catch him with supporting roles in Lions Gate Films’ “Unemployed” and “Tamales and Gumbo” both recently out on DVD.
Jason also has been exposed to a very wide range of dialects and urban cultures that work to expand his adaptability for projects. Recently Jason has made television appearances on FOX’s “Reality Remix,” the 2007,2008 and the up-coming 2009 FOX Reality Awards, TV Guide’s “Reality Chat,” E Channels “The Soup” to name a few.
