.::The KEY to a great photograph, is a GREAT make-up Artist!!::.
I am a professional Make-up Artist from Long Island. Even though Iâm in New York City just about every other day!

I have been a professional make-up artist for 8 years now. (Iâm only 24!) But Iâve been doing make-up for as long as I can remember! I just recently started a 3 year internship for Professional Body Artist Dani from The Body of Art (
www.thebodyofart.com) She is amazing and has been introducing me to so many great opportunities and aspects of this industry! So Thank You Dani! - I Love You! So aside from my new great internship which has let me work with great photographers and will get me amazing opportunities like helping her with a project for Marc Jacobs this December ( just to name the one I'm MOST excited about! ) and do events with TEMPTU since she is their educator!! I also just got a new job with the best hours for my schedule. I work Monday-Thursday 7am-2pm. Which means I get out of work early enough to do a lot more freelancing at night and I have Fridays completely free for my make-up!!! I also work for an entertainment company on the weekends and some week nights called Artemix Entertainment (
www.artemixentertainment.com) We do high end Bar/Bah mitzvahâs, Sweet 16's Corporate events or Promotional parties. Iâve done parties for MTV, Nickelodeon, and Veet just to name a few. Itâs a really FUN job!! It consists of going to an amazing parties and performing body painting, airbrush tattoos, hand painted tattoos, henna, face painting, or any sort of body art you can imagine! I also work for ABC on their show Official Heat. Its ABC7 Rogers County and Toronto so most people in the US havenât really seen or heard of it. But my division is based out of New York City. It is a music video show very similar to MTV's TRL. One of the Host's of the show "Miss Official Heat" (Kenya Thomas) is the VJ that interviews the recording artists about their newest album releases. We interview them in New York City either at the place they perform, on set at a photo shoot, or at their record labels. Some of the artist that have been featured are Cherish, Maino, Sheek Louch, 3 Six Mafia, and many more. Kenya is another amazing woman who has helped me reach higher levels in my career! For that I couldnât be more thankful. I Love You Kenya! Some of our work together and much more can be seen on her newest project/website called The Skinny. (
http://www.skinniverse.com) Kenya and her co-host Lauren show behind the scenes footage of the interviews, fashion week, music videos, and other industry events we attend.
Iâm very thankful for all the great opportunities that have come my way in the past two years! It has really opened my eyes up to all the aspects of this fascinating industry.
Iâve come to notice recently though that a lot of the tests that I have done and the work and progress that Iâve been making has been sending me in the Print direction of this industry. I have nothing wrong with the glamour of Print. I absolutely love having the opportunity to work with amazing Photographers, Artists & Models and have the opportunity to attend these fabulous events. But my heart is and has always been set on the Film/TV aspect of my trade. My goal since I have been a child was to move to LA and work in the union doing Movies. My goal while Iâm living in New York is to get in the union out here and WORK ON BROADWAY! I love theater! Always have! I was in acting classes and took drama for years ( at the time not realizing I CANT act, I just love the environment, and that the reason I always did everyoneâs make-up, was because MAKEUP was my passion!) So that being said, I am no longer doing test shoots, unless I get a tear out of them. The only projects I will work for free will be ones that will help further my film career.⦠Any sort of films (short, students, feature), Music Videos, OR injury make-up photo shoots (only because my portfolio is lacking in that aspect) Its nothing personal. Just want to be moving in the right direction.
I want to thank all the Mentors, Models, Photographers, Hair Stylists, & Wardrobe Stylists that have all contributed to my success. I have so many more dreams and accomplishments that I feel that I havenât even started to begin!
