Pam, we had the chance to work together at Vancouver Photoworkshops acouple of years ago. I was at the opening of their new studio and some of the images here as prints in their gallery and I was blown away. Wonderful, unusual, creative and courageous. Great stuff.

I am ready to visit your island to make some art, with your favourite bottle of wine. This Island photographer still wants to collaborate. Mid-week shoots good for me.

Oh...me LIKEY TOO!! ;o) You know, there's a rule against operating a chain saw while wearing stripper shoes. I am not sure where I read that, maybe it was in the Lumberjack's Code, but I know it exists. But you know, now that I think about it, maybe that was for burly, hairy, flannel wearing old men... never mind. ;)

I've been keeping my head down. Work's been a bit of a rollercoaster so I'm finding it tough to get some shooting in. I'll persevere.

wood burning stove... definitely jealous. I'd even love to have a fireplace.
It's been very chilly here for the last few days, though I don't think today and yesterday were as cold as forecast. Chilly feet, tho.
I'm hammering away on my books. Just got very positive feedback from one editor, and the other is sending me comps of the cover. It's all looking good, but it's going to be a ton of work over the next couple of weeks or so.
I had a funny mishap last night. I stepped away from my latptop for a few (less than 5) minutes, and came back to find one of my cats playing with something shiny on the floor... It was the P key from my laptop! There's something poetic about my pussycat grabbing the P key off my machine, but this was a problem. Imagine trying to type 'Help! Apple Support' or Photoshop without a P key...
When I checked the Apple stores (there are 3 in NYC alone) no one could give me an appointment before 11:30 tonight. That wouldn't do. So, I checked with Tekserve, the other handy Mac service joint in town. They told me that I could come right in and do a while-u-wait repair.
I was in and out of Tekserve in under an hour, and the round trip was less than three. Best of all, I also upgraded my RAM to 4 GB. So many things in life should go that smoothly.
From now on, I close the cover on the laptop whenever I step away...
: )
Toast a marshmallow for me!
