I INVITE YOUR COMMENTS ON THE PHOTOS THAT I HAVE POSTED.
Models, please read this very carefully if you're considering working with me.
I'm a New Jersey photographer who specializes in weddings, portraits, and events. I also do pregnancy portraits and intimate photography of women in private sessions for a discerning clientele. I'm a baby boomer with more than 40 years of experience in photography and other forms of visual communications. I hold a B.A. degree in art and have done some graduate work in communications. I'm still learning and growing and I continue working to expand my technical knowledge and creative vision. I'm learning quite a bit from the models and other women that I work with.
After nearly five years of full time public school teaching and being starved for inspiration and opportunities to practice my craft, I finally broke free to pursue my passion and live my bliss through the re-creation of my photography business. I've re-enrolled in my personal art photography, creating, among other things, fine art and editorial images that capture and express the femininity and sensuality of women in various forms, mostly tastefully done, artistic semi-nudes and nudes that celebrate rather than objectify while still exploring the realm of eroticism. I think this tag says it best:
"I love how you make nudity about natural beauty, not sexuality." I'm not interested in creating pictures that are about wardrobe, makeup, and hair. I have no interest in gothic, porn, fetish/BDSM, or the kinds of photos seen in Maxim and Playboy. I will NOT photograph you with a gun, whip, or chains, bound and gagged, in your dominatrix outfit, in a bikini, or in a thong sticking your butt out (unless you pay me a lot of money

)
I'm looking to experience a limited number of mutually beneficial,
STRICTLY TF*, creative collaborations with select models, aspiring models, and others willing to work with me as I experiment and continue to develop a collection of artistic digital images.
I want to work with women of substance who are serious about artistic expression, who understand that nudity does not have to be about sexuality, and who are positive, open, dependable, conscientious, poised, largely uninhibited, creative, and patient. You'll be treated with respect and appreciation and rewarded with high quality, tasteful professional images for your portfolio as we work and learn together as a creative team. I reserve the right to edit my work and have only the best of what I do seen publicly. Therefore, I never provide a CD of photos to a model immediately after a shoot. No exceptions. Also, I
never share copyrights.
I'm willing to consider all ages at least 21 and all body types (PREFERENCE GIVEN TO HOURGLASS FIGURES), but I prefer no breast implants. I generally prefer minimal tattoos and body piercings, but I'm willing to experiment with women who have more as long as they have other desirable attributes. I'd especially love to do more work with pregnant women. I'd also like to do more work with mature women (over 40) who have a realistic body image and realistic expectations of the shoot.

After several disappointing experiences with young flakes, I've begun to shy away from models under 30, but I'm still willing to consider all possibilities on a case by case basis. I don't deal with model managers.
If you feel that you must bring an escort to a shoot, be advised that I only tolerate the kind who sit silently in a corner with their iPod and book.
My first book of photographs, Portraits of Eve: Women of Color Share Their Body/Soul Conversations, will be published in early 2010. You can see sample pages at this link: http://herbwayphoto.com/portfolios/inti … ming-book/ .
Also, please visit the fan page on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/portraits.of.eve Pre-paid orders are now being taken for copies at a special pre-publication price. Send a message with your email address if you're interested.
I'm beginning a new bodyscapes project that will be a collection of images of portions of nude female bodies across a broad range of shapes and sizes with no faces being shown. I'd especially like to include some women who wouldn't ordinarily do nudes.
You can contact me at herbwayphoto@comcast.net.
Please note that I am not on this site for social networking. With very rare exception, I will add to my friends list only those models with whom I've worked or wish to work and only those photographers and others whose work I greatly admire and/or with whom I feel artistic/business networking can be beneficial. My standards are high.
