I'm feeling the need to click that shutter, folks.

I just recently obtained access to a part-time studio space in downtown Yakima. It's got a great natural skylight and I'm hoping to take advantage of it by making more pictures. I would like to be doing one to two shoots a month in order to start creating content for a Web site. Let me know if you are interested in shooting. I endeavor to make sure that we both walk away with images we want -- photography should not be a one-sided exercise dominated by the photographer's vision.

I've been taking occasional news photos for more than 10 years, but I am just starting to get into shooting portraiture and models, as well as multiple-flash lighting. I'm particularly interested in shooting yoga and similar active poses, but I have a broad range of interests: Dressup, costume, outdoors, lingerie and more.

I would like to work with both older and younger male and female models, primarily trades for right now. I am still working on a studio setup. I prefer getting what I want out of the photo, rather than endlessly processing it. I think I've developed the ability to bring out the personality behind the subject as well as setting up the right environment.

Shooting within Central Washington would be best, although I occasionally travel around the state and into northern Oregon.
