Thats great, I remember you mentioning music and I noticed your myspace page as well. You really have it down. I don't know who makes the beats but they work well with your voice. You definitely have R+B under raps, keep up with it as you are, It seems to be working towards your advantage.
I recently started my own project as well. We've practiced a few times, but it seems dedicated and highly impressive. The other band members are Philadelphia University of The arts students so they have no problem making a corresponding rythm or melody. I'll have to post some up on my myspace sometime soon.
Great to hear from you, you have a positive look towards whats to come, a great aspect to have.
