My name is Jennifer Cappi Williams. I have been photographing the underground Southern music scene since the mid '90s. I am not interested in doing traditional commercial work though a may do a shoot for someone that wants something different. I do this for the sake of photography not to keep me fed. My band photography tends to be non-traditional and yeah...weird. That is what I like. When I photograph bands I tend to use a lens drag to capture the light and allows you to "hear" the music. If your band is not using deep colored lights and choses to only use spot lights or LCD lights then I cannot use a lens drag and will do flash photography where I then usually prefer black and white images. So if you want the "Wicked" looking pictures with the lens drag then make sure to use dark colored lights sometime in your set. BUT....It does take ALOT of shots to get the SHOT when using a lens drag.
Sometimes I give the camera over to my friends to take pics of me but mostly I do the photography. I work at a private horse stable and during our lunch breaks, me and my friend Megan will quick run out and put on evening gowns and jump on the horses and take pics on days there are no guests on the island. I am avid photographer in the Savannah, GA area. I love to create interesting and eye-catching images, and expand my portfolio as well as models ports.
I love taking action photos. No studio stuff here. All out in the real world for me. If you can't find a cool place to take a pic then you ain't looking hard enough! What I am interesting in doing is photos of live music and those with horses (I know, totally opposite things). Some of my earlier pics on my myspace are of all the HardCore and Punk bands (which are mostly all scanned photos) and most of the rest are the much more recent ones I've done with a digital Nikon D40. Plus, I HATE tripods! My shots are hand held...
