Effective immediately, all models must provide valid photo ID at the beginning of the shoot, regardless of shoot type!
I love to shoot. I feel right at home with my camera in hand, creating art and capturing beauty. I love to have fun on a shoot, and my favorite part of working with models is making that connection that sparks creativity.
I'm happily married to a wonderful and supportive woman, who totally gets me and what I do. I'm so thankful to have her.
I enjoy doing TF* shoots, especially for newer models, but I am limited in my available time, so I am selective about who I work with on these types of shoots. See below for my rules for TF shoots.
I also usually do TF* for hairstylists, makeup artists and wardrobe stylists the first time I work with them, to establish a professional connection.
Here's what I will generally shoot for trade:
Shoots on spec for magazine or website submission
Catalog and magazine-style editorial and advertising looks
New settings and locations -- Looking to grow beyond my studio work
An idea, concept or challenge I haven't tried before -- I love learning new things! Look in my port and if you don't see it there, bring me your idea. If you need some suggestions, I usually keep a brainstorming list; just ask.
Models and others I've shot previously -- I love to work with people multiple times!
Group projects and shoots -- I love collaborating on big shoots!
Models on my personal wish list -- There are plenty of talented people out there, and a few exceptional individuals I'd probably give up a limb to work with!
I also love to brainstorm and come up with new ideas, as well as "shoot from the hip" during a shoot. Drop me a line and let me know what you want to shoot, and we'll come up with a great concept for you together. I may offer you TF* if the project will benefit my port, otherwise I'll give you a great rate!
For TF* shoots, I give you a website link with low-res proofs straight from the camera. These are NOT to be posted to MM or any other website (in fact, posting them is a good way to ensure that many photographers will choose not to work with you...). In addition, I edit 1 or 2 images from each "look", more if I have time or if it's agreed to ahead of time (this usually amounts to anywhere from 4 to 8 MM-ready portfolio images from a shoot). These are sent by email in both print-size and web-ready versions. I always try to have one or two edits done within 24 hours of the shoot so you have something right away, then get the rest out to you as I can (typically 2-3 weeks or so depending on my schedule).
I can and will do more edits for paid shoots, especially "portfolio development" type shoots where the model is looking for 10-15 images or so to start or freshen their port. My rates are very reasonable, so don't hesitate to ask!
One more thing on TF*: TF isn't "free". It's a trade. My time, experience, talent and investments for yours, to benefit us both. If a project is being done for my port and won't benefit yours, I should be paying you. Same is true the other way around. The only way TF is fair is if everyone involved benefits. And at any rate, it's still a professional shoot, even with no money changing hands, so please treat it as such. Communicate clearly about your expectations and any problems, and I'll do the same. Hey, life happens, and I get that.

I can travel in the central Florida area for location work, or you can come to my home studio in Sanford.
I thrive on feedback, so leave me your comments if you like my pics. Also, click on the credits and leave feedback for the models & stylists, too!
I have worked with over 100 models from this site, many of them multiple times. Click through to any of the models in my port for references, or feel free to contact me for more names!
