Geez! I need to find a job with weekends off!
Responsible - Reliable - Creative.
Seeking work in all genres and media.
Will consider all serious offers.
Very comfortable in my own skin.
Sorry, not looking for a date!
- I no longer have studio space for rent (effective March 2009).
- Okay, so I've been getting a lot of comments about my look (strong, rugged, tough guy, etc.), so I'd like to work on creating more stuff to bring that out.
- Yeah, I'm an old guy, but don't you think there needs to be more boy/girl photos on here? I do.
- Shave the beard? Sure, if it helps pay the rent.
I'm a Chicago native, southwest side. In no particular order, I've worked as a commercial artist, substance abuse counselor, restaurant manager, movie theater cleaner, grocery store stocker/bagger/cart wrangler, landscaper (construction, dump truck driver, florist delivery), child care service worker (with abused, neglected and emotionally disturbed adolescents); convenience store manager; motel desk manager; stadium hawker; furniture mover; and other stuff that slips my mind at the moment. So, I have lots of life experiences to draw on.
My black belt in Aikido has allowed me the privilege of teaching self-defense to likely targets of aggression, such as nurses working third shift and other potentially vulnerable individuals. Weapons experience includes bokken, tanto, jo, and kubotan.
I've decided not to go back to teaching (English 1301, 1302, etc.) this fall because I'm simply tired of fighting a system that values memorization-regurgitation over critical thinking and intellectual curiosity.
I'm open to just about any serious project, and I am of course open to TFP/CD to add to my portfolio, but I could really use a paid gig.

“The line it is drawn, The curse it is cast
The slow one now, Will later be fast
As the present now, Will later be past
The order is Rapidly fadin'.
And the first one now, Will later be last
For the times they are a-changin'.”
