I love working with artist and creative people.
If you're interested in shooting with me expect to get dirty, wet, start off nude and work your way back into your clothes.
One day Aaron Hawks became Mr. Hawks and with him the photographer-voyeur, who pretended to be an accomplice with his subjects, encountered his alter ego in a suit and a bowtie coming out of the world of the still movies and the comics of the thirties. It was at this moment when the gaze unlocked itself and eliminated the distance between the eye and its voyeuristic pleasure, thus becoming just another mere medium in a particular erotic universe made possible by the camera lens.
A stage, a man, and in the middle the female body as a symbol of impersonalized femininity; a distorted and dismembered body in sexually aggressive positions, suffocating in ropes and plastic sheets; the very same body the Surrealists had always dreamt of but never dared to approach so closely... Something between a Hans Bellmer and Tim Burton, Mr. Hawks recreates in his fully studio-orchestrated sets an ambience endowed with a fetish and burlesque sensuality; an ambience, which is at the same time a Berlin Cabaret and a motel.
Unexpected juxtapositions between the beautiful and the dirty, the extravagant and the decadent, give birth to a personal work that lies in plain contrast with the commercial face of Aaron Hawks. The coin has always two sides and this second side is certainly more than daring and provocative.

This is without question one of the best openings ive been to in a long time. Aaron Hawks erotic photography slithers the discipline into new territory, its magic being that even though he explores the limits of sexuality, he somehow manages to keep it tasteful, suggestive and most importantly, visually satisfying - ArtBusiness.com
"Dazzlingly beautiful work! Aaron's films read like surreal poetry.Very inspiring!"
Masami Teraoka
"Aaron doesn't know the difference between pornography and erotica."
